Your Daily Devotion for September 6th

Good Morning!
Good morning! Today is Saturday, September 6th, and it’s a wonderful day to reflect on our integrity and our commitments. Let’s start fresh today, speaking truthfully and acting faithfully in all we promise.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father,
God of truth, make us reliable in every promise we speak. Guide our words and actions, and help our “yes” to mean yes, and our “no,” no. Develop within us the deep integrity of Your Son, Jesus Christ, so we might honor both You and those around us with trustworthy lives.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
Daily Inspiration
“All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.” – Matthew 5:37
In our daily interactions, simplicity and truthfulness honor God immensely. Jesus calls us to clear and open honesty, reminding us that as people of faith, we represent our Lord through reliable language and dependable actions.

A New Way to Invest is Delivering Big Results
VCs back startups for outsized returns. Everyday investors wait. But rule changes fixed that. Take Revolut. In 2016, 433 people averaged a $2,370 stake. Today? Its valuation is up 89,900%. No wonder 10K+ people and the investors behind Uber and Venmo are taking the chance on Pacaso. Founded by a former Zillow exec, they’ve made $110M+ in gross profit to date.

Question of the day
How do I become better at keeping the promises I make?
Keeping our promises is a discipline that involves wisdom, self-control, and prayerfulness. It begins by praying before we commit—carefully evaluating whether we genuinely can fulfill each promise. Proverbs 10:9 states, “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.” By intentionally setting realistic commitments, we live transparently and securely before God. Pray for discernment, seek God’s guidance before making promises, and rely on His strength to complete them faithfully.

Moment of Reflection
Have I over-promised anywhere this week? Take this moment to quietly reflect and seek God’s guidance in reviewing your recent commitments. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal areas where your intentions may outweigh your capacity and seek His wisdom in reconciling each decision.
Thought for the day
Integrity speaks loudest in follow-through. Our words gain significance only through faithful actions. Each time we honor our commitments, trust is built stronger. Conversely, when we falter in keeping our promises, trust erodes rapidly. The Biblical encouragement from Christ Himself, to let our “yes” be yes, urges careful consideration before commitment. If we exercise wisdom and deliver faithfully, our character reflects that of Christ, bringing honor and glory to His name through genuine reliability and lasting trustworthiness.
Closing Blessing
May God’s wisdom reassure your words, His strength empower your actions, and His grace grant you steadiness in every commitment made today and always. Walk faithfully, speak truthfully, and receive His peace.
