Your Daily Devotion for September 28th

Good Morning!

Good morning, beloved! This beautiful Sunday, September 28th, brings us a powerful reminder: you are a steward of influence, and your platform—whether great or small—is God’s pulpit. Every interaction, every word, every decision carries the potential to point others toward eternity. Today, let’s embrace this sacred responsibility with wisdom and intentionality.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come before You recognizing that all influence flows from Your throne. Sanctify our spheres of influence today, Lord. Help us to steward wisely the platforms You’ve entrusted to us, whether in our homes, workplaces, or communities. May our words and actions reflect Your glory and draw others to Your eternal kingdom.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

Daily Inspiration

Luke 12:48 reminds us: “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded.” This isn’t meant to burden us but to awaken us to the profound privilege we carry. Your influence—your ability to affect others’ thoughts, decisions, and directions—is not yours to hoard but God’s to deploy through you.

Consider this: someone’s eternity might shift because of a book you recommended, a conversation you initiated, or a kindness you showed. That coworker watching how you handle stress, that friend observing your integrity, that family member noting your peace in trials—each is reading the living epistle of your life. Your influence is borrowed power from the Almighty, temporarily entrusted to you for eternal purposes.

Question of the day

How can I recognize when God is calling me to use my influence in a specific situation?

Scripture teaches us to be attentive to divine appointments. In Colossians 4:5-6, Paul instructs us to “walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt.” When you feel a holy nudge to speak encouragement, when someone unexpectedly shares their struggles, or when you have an opportunity to demonstrate Christ’s love—these are often God’s invitations to leverage your influence. The Holy Spirit will give you a sensitivity to these moments; you’ll feel a gentle pressing on your heart that transcends mere human compassion.

Moment of Reflection

Take a moment to recall a time when someone’s influence changed your life trajectory. Perhaps it was a teacher who believed in you, a mentor who guided you, or a friend who introduced you to Jesus. Now consider: whose life might God be positioning you to impact today? Your influence ripples into eternity in ways you may never fully see this side of heaven.

Thought for the day

Influence is not measured by follower counts or platform size—it’s measured by faithful stewardship of the relationships God has placed in your path. Moses influenced a nation while feeling inadequate. Esther influenced a king while trembling with fear. The boy with five loaves and two fish influenced thousands through his simple offering.

What makes influence eternal is not its magnitude but its surrender to God’s purposes. Every recommendation you make, every example you set, every truth you share becomes a seed planted in the soil of someone’s heart. You may never know which casual conversation sparked someone’s journey toward Christ, which act of integrity inspired someone to seek truth, or which moment of grace prevented someone from giving up. This is the beautiful mystery of kingdom influence—God multiplies our small offerings into eternal harvests.

Closing Blessing

As you step into this Sunday, may God amplify your influence for His glory. May He give you wisdom to recognize divine appointments and courage to speak truth in love. Remember, dear friend, your life is a living testimony, and someone needs to see Jesus through you today. Go forth as His ambassador, investing your borrowed influence for eternal dividends.
