Good Morning!
Good morning! Today is Wednesday, September 17, a wonderful day to fast from negativity and instead, feed on the nourishing hope we have in the Lord!
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Please curb our appetite for gloom and teach us today to feast on Your promises rather than dwell upon our problems. Help us replace every negative thought or complaint with words of hope, gratitude, and faith.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.

How can I practically replace my negative thoughts with declarations of hope?
Scripture guides us clearly: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” (Philippians 4:8). Practically speaking, whenever negative or discouraging thoughts enter your mind, pause and deliberately choose promises from God’s Word to meditate upon instead. Develop the habit of turning complaints into gratitude and speaking truths of God’s provision, promises, and plans over your circumstances.

Recall a time when you went on a “negativity fast”—even if just for a day, or a morning. How did this lift the atmosphere around you? How did it affect your spirit, your relationships, and your outlook? Reflect on how exchanging negativity for hopeful declarations changes your whole perspective.
Thought for the day
Hope is nourishment for your soul. Just as feeding your body healthy physical food strengthens it, feeding your mind and heart with words of hope, truth, and promise renews and strengthens your spirit. Consider that every thought you dwell upon today is like food you are feeding your heart and soul. When difficulties arise, intentionally snack on God’s promises and not on your problems—your life will soon reflect peace and joy in abundance.
