Your Daily Devotion for September 15th

Good Morning!
Good morning! Today is Monday, September 15. As the week begins, let’s anchor our hearts in the beautiful reality of our identity as children of God. We don’t have to earn His acceptance; Christ already secured it for us.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Remind us this morning we are Your beloved children. Teach us daily the joy of resting in Your grace instead of striving to earn Your embrace. May Your Spirit gently affirm us and anchor our hearts deeply in the reality of Your unconditional love.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
Daily Inspiration
Romans 8:15: “You received the Spirit of adoption.”
This Scripture encourages us that our relationship with God is not grounded in performance-based acceptance, but rather in our adoption into His family. Through Jesus Christ, we have been delivered from striving for approval and brought intimately into the Father’s loving embrace. Today, rather than exhausting yourself to earn what is freely offered in Christ, rest joyfully in the identity of a cherished son or daughter of God.
Just as today’s devotion reminded us that we don’t have to strive to earn God’s acceptance, we can also approach our physical health with wisdom and care rather than pressure. That’s where Trainwell comes in—helping women navigate strength and fitness during perimenopause with plans designed to support your unique body and season of life.

Question of the day
How do I know if I am striving to earn God’s favor rather than resting in Christ’s finished work?
We can examine our hearts by asking ourselves if we feel constantly anxious and burdened about our performance in our relationship with God. Matthew 11:28-30 invites us to find rest in Jesus, where He says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” If we find ourselves always anxious, fearful of not doing enough, or worried about God’s approval, we’re likely striving. The remedy? Return daily, moment by moment, to the liberating truth that God accepts us fully through Christ, apart from our works (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Moment of Reflection
Think about one recent situation where you tried so hard to gain approval. Reflect now on how that circumstance might look differently through the lens of your adoption in Christ. Ask God to solidify your heart in His unconditional acceptance today and let your soul experience fresh relief and joy.
Thought for the day
You don’t have to achieve certain benchmarks, meet specific spiritual disciplines, or perform well enough for God’s love to be yours. Christ has already done the work. Your adoption into God’s family is sealed forever and is not contingent upon your day-to-day success or performance. This truth doesn’t mean we become passive; rather, it empowers us to serve, love, and live abundantly—from a heart secure in being fully loved, fully accepted, and fully His. How much sweeter and fulfilling life becomes when we live not for approval but from it!
Closing Blessing
May you walk into today with peaceful confidence revealed in Christ’s adoption. May you know deeply and experientially that sonship surpasses striving and that you are radically loved as God’s own beloved child.
God bless you abundantly today and always!
