Your Daily Devotion for September 13th

In partnership with

Good Morning!

Today is Saturday, September 13, and as we awaken, may we remember to point each blessing, each praise, and every achievement not to ourselves, but to Christ our Savior. May our lives today become reflections of His glory!

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for every blessing, every achievement, and every moment You grant us. Remind us continually that every good thing comes from Your hands alone. Lord, receive the applause that comes our way, for we recognize that without You we are nothing. Guide us to humbly direct all praise and honor toward You today.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

How 433 Investors Unlocked 400X Return Potential

Institutional investors back startups to unlock outsized returns. Regular investors have to wait. But not anymore. Thanks to regulatory updates, some companies are doing things differently.

Take Revolut. In 2016, 433 regular people invested an average of $2,730. Today? They got a 400X buyout offer from the company, as Revolut’s valuation increased 89,900% in the same timeframe.

Founded by a former Zillow exec, Pacaso’s co-ownership tech reshapes the $1.3T vacation home market. They’ve earned $110M+ in gross profit to date, including 41% YoY growth in 2024 alone. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

The same institutional investors behind Uber, Venmo, and eBay backed Pacaso. And you can join them. But not for long. Pacaso’s investment opportunity ends September 18.

Daily Inspiration

“Whatever you do…do it all for the glory of God.”
— 1 Corinthians 10:31

Our lives, abilities, and accomplishments are granted by God’s gracious hand. When we recognize Him as the source, we live in true humility and worship. Redirecting praise to God guards our hearts from envy and pride, helping us to live as radiant reflections of His perfect glory rather than overshadowing it ourselves.

Today, let’s intentionally seek opportunities to shine the spotlight upon our Savior!

Question of the day

How can I direct praise to God when others compliment or recognize something I have done well?

When others commend you, humbly acknowledge their kindness and promptly redirect the focus to God’s enabling grace. Scripture encourages humility, reminding us in Proverbs 27:2, “Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth.” You can say something like, “Thank you! I’m grateful to God for giving me the strength and ability.” By doing this, you honor God and inspire others toward Christ-centered living.

Moment of Reflection

Think about the last time someone praised or noticed your achievement. Did you privately savor the applause and keep it for yourself, or did you point the honor rightfully back to God? Take time now to renew your commitment to reflect praise upwards and outwardly toward Christ, the true giver of all gifts.

Thought for the day

In a world that elevates personal achievements and multiplies self-promotion, true disciples of Jesus Christ choose another path—the path of humility. True humility is not about denying our strengths or abilities, but recognizing God as the author of each of our successes and willingly surrendering all accolades into His deserving hands. Glory humbly reflected is glory rightly magnified. By directing attention upward, we bring honor and reverence to the God who graciously enables every good thing in and through us.

Closing Blessing

May you walk in humility today, reflecting all praise back unto the Lord your God. May every compliment guide your heart to gratitude, every recognition move your spirit toward worship, and every success become a door opened toward eternal gratitude. Go forth in the peace and humility of Christ!
