Good Morning!
Good morning and happy Saturday, October 31st! As we step into this new day, remember that God has placed a unique calling on your life—one that no excuse can truly silence. Today, we’re reminded that inadequacy has never disqualified anyone from God’s purposes; only our excuses hold that power. Rise up, beloved, and answer your calling boldly. The One who calls you will equip you for every step ahead.

Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts that desire full obedience to Your call. Silence the excuses that echo in our minds—the fears, the doubts, the feelings of unworthiness. Amplify Your voice above every whisper of hesitation. Give us courage to step forward, trusting that You will provide the words, the strength, and the wisdom we need. Help us to remember that You never call the equipped; You equip the called.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
Daily Inspiration
“Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” — Exodus 4:12
These powerful words were spoken to Moses at his moment of greatest hesitation. Standing before the burning bush, Moses offered excuse after excuse: “Who am I?” “What if they don’t believe me?” “I am slow of speech.” Sound familiar?
Yet God’s response wasn’t to find someone more qualified. Instead, He promised His presence and His provision. The same God who spoke to Moses speaks to you today. Whatever calling He has placed on your heart—whether it’s sharing your faith, serving in ministry, mending a relationship, or stepping into new territory—He promises to go with you and teach you along the way. Your job is simply to go; His job is everything else.
Question of the day
Why does God call imperfect and unqualified people to do His work?
Throughout Scripture, God consistently chooses the unlikely, the unqualified, and the imperfect to accomplish His purposes. Moses stuttered. David was the youngest son. Peter denied Christ three times. Paul persecuted Christians. Yet each became instrumental in God’s story.
The answer lies in 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” God chooses the humble and inadequate so that His glory shines through our limitations. When we succeed despite our weaknesses, there’s no question about who deserves the credit. Our inadequacy becomes the canvas for His sufficiency.

Moment of Reflection
Think back to a time when you stepped past your excuses and discovered competence you didn’t know you possessed. Perhaps it was accepting a leadership role, sharing your testimony, or extending forgiveness. What happened when you simply obeyed? Today, ask yourself: What excuse currently stands between me and full obedience to God’s call? Name it. Surrender it. And trust Him with the outcome.
Thought for the day
Excuses delay destiny. These three words carry profound weight when we truly consider their implications. Every moment spent crafting reasons why we can’t is a moment stolen from the life God has prepared for us. Moses spent time at the burning bush listing his inadequacies while a nation remained in bondage. How many blessings—both for ourselves and others—remain unrealized because we’ve convinced ourselves we’re not ready?
The truth is, we may never feel ready. Readiness is often a feeling that follows action, not precedes it. Faith requires stepping into the unknown before we have all the answers. Abraham left his homeland without knowing his destination. The disciples dropped their nets without a retirement plan. They discovered God’s faithfulness on the other side of obedience.
Today, drop the excuse and go. Whatever God has been stirring in your heart, trust that He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion. Your destiny awaits on the other side of your yes.
Closing Blessing
May the Lord silence every excuse that rises within you and fill you with holy boldness to answer His call. May you discover that His strength is perfected in your weakness, and may you step forward today knowing that the God who calls you will never leave you nor forsake you. Go in peace, beloved, and walk confidently into your calling.
