Heavenly Father, we thank You that Your compassions never fail and are new every morning. Lord, redeem our week’s beginning and help us see Monday not as a burden, but as Your gift. Transform our perspective to embrace each new start with joy and purpose.

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” - Lamentations 3:23

This powerful verse reminds us that God’s mercies aren’t just renewed annually or monthly—they’re refreshed every single morning, including Mondays! When we view the start of our week through this lens of divine renewal, Monday transforms from a dreaded obligation into a sacred opportunity. Each dawn brings a clean slate, a fresh portion of grace, and unlimited potential for God to work in and through us.

Question of the day

How can I overcome the “Monday blues” and reframe the start of my work week as an opportunity rather than a burden?

The Bible encourages us to “give thanks in all circumstances” (1 Thessalonians 5:18) and to “work heartily, as for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23). When we shift our perspective to see Monday as God’s fresh canvas—a chance to serve Him through our work, relationships, and attitudes—we transform dread into expectation. Remember that your work, whatever it may be, is an act of worship when done for God’s glory. Each Monday is 52 chances a year to start strong and finish stronger.
