Your Daily Devotion for October 11th

Good Morning!
Good morning, beloved! On this beautiful Saturday, October 11th, let’s embrace a powerful truth: Practice resurrection living—live like death lost! The same power that raised Christ from the grave dwells within you today. You are not merely surviving; you are thriving in His victory. Let this day be marked by the triumphant reality that you serve a risen Savior who has already conquered every obstacle you’ll face.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Risen Lord, infuse us with Your resurrection victory. Help us to live fully alive in You, counting ourselves dead to sin but vibrantly alive to Your purposes. Break every chain of defeat in our minds and hearts. Let Your resurrection power flow through us today, transforming our thoughts, words, and actions into testimonies of Your triumph.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
Daily Inspiration
Romans 6:11 declares, “Count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” This isn’t mere positive thinking—it’s a spiritual reality that transforms everything. When Christ rose from the grave, He didn’t just defeat death for Himself; He defeated it for you. Every morning you wake up, you’re participating in resurrection life.
Think about what this means practically. That temptation that seems insurmountable? You have resurrection power to overcome it. That broken relationship that appears beyond repair? Resurrection power can restore it. That dream that died? God specializes in resurrection. You’re not walking in your own strength today—you’re walking in the very power that emptied tombs and conquered hell. Easter isn’t just a holiday; it’s your daily reality. Live like someone who knows the ending of the story: death lost, life won, and you’re on the winning side.
Question of the day
Why do I still struggle with sin if I’m “dead to sin” according to Romans 6:11?
Being “dead to sin” doesn’t mean you’ll never face temptation or struggle—it means sin no longer has dominion over you. Paul explains in Romans 7:15-25 that even he wrestled with doing what he didn’t want to do. The difference is that before Christ, you were a slave to sin with no escape. Now, through His resurrection power, you have both the authority and ability to say no. When you stumble, 1 John 1:9 promises that confession brings forgiveness and cleansing. You’re in a process of sanctification, growing more like Christ daily. The struggle itself proves you’re alive to God—dead people don’t fight!

Moment of Reflection
What defeated mindset needs resurrection power in your life today? Perhaps you’ve been living under the shadow of past failures, believing you’re disqualified from God’s purposes. Maybe fear has entombed your faith, keeping you from stepping into God’s promises. Take a moment now to recall a breakthrough that came after claiming resurrection life—that time when God’s power showed up impossibly. That same power is available right now. Surrender that defeated area to the One who specializes in bringing dead things to life.

Thought for the day
Living victoriously today means making conscious choices to align with your resurrection identity. It’s choosing forgiveness when bitterness feels justified, speaking life when criticism comes naturally, and walking in faith when fear seems reasonable. Victory isn’t the absence of battles—it’s fighting from a position of triumph rather than for triumph.
Consider how Jesus appeared to His disciples after the resurrection. He didn’t erase their failures; He transformed them. Peter, who denied Christ three times, became the bold preacher at Pentecost. Thomas, the doubter, became a radical believer. Your failures, doubts, and struggles don’t disqualify you from resurrection living—they’re the very places where God’s power shows up most dramatically. Today, stop rehearsing your defeats and start rehearsing His victory. Every breath you take is evidence that resurrection power is at work in you.
Closing Blessing
May you walk through this day with resurrection confidence, knowing that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you. May every defeated thought bow to His victory, and may you experience breakthrough in areas that seemed hopeless. Go forth as a living testament that death has lost its sting and life has won eternally!
