Good Morning!

Good morning and blessed Sunday, May 24th! As we gather in worship and fellowship today, let us remember that divine assignments often find us before we find them. Your calling chose you before you ever chose it. God has placed a purpose within your heart that transcends your understanding—embrace it with faith and courage. Accept what He has appointed for your life, knowing that He who calls you is faithful to equip you for every task ahead.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, ready to receive the assignments You have prepared for us. Give us courage to accept what feels impossible, knowing that Your strength is made perfect in our weakness. Help us trust that You knew us before we took our first breath and that Your plans for us are good. Remove our doubts and replace them with unwavering faith in Your provision. May we step boldly into the calling You have placed upon our lives.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

Daily Inspiration

Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”

This powerful verse reveals a profound truth—God’s knowledge of you and His purpose for your life existed before you did. Before your parents knew your name, before your heart beat for the first time, the Creator of the universe had already established your calling.

When God speaks of “setting apart,” He speaks of consecration, of being designated for a holy purpose. This wasn’t a decision made in haste or after observing your abilities. It was predetermined in the eternal counsel of God’s perfect will. Your calling is not an accident or afterthought; it is woven into the very fabric of your existence. You were created with intention, designed with divine purpose, and appointed before time itself.

Question of the day

Why do I feel inadequate for what God is calling me to do?

Feeling inadequate for God’s calling is perhaps one of the most common experiences among believers throughout Scripture. Moses stuttered and questioned his ability to speak to Pharaoh (Exodus 4:10). Gideon considered himself the least in his family (Judges 6:15). Jeremiah believed he was too young (Jeremiah 1:6). Yet God used each of them mightily.

The feeling of inadequacy is actually a gift—it keeps us dependent on God rather than our own strength. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” God’s supernatural enablement always follows our acceptance of His divine appointment. Calling always precedes capacity. You don’t need to be qualified before you say yes; you become equipped as you walk in obedience.

Moment of Reflection

Consider this today: What assignment feels bigger than your ability? Perhaps it’s a ministry opportunity, a difficult conversation, a career change, or a step of faith that terrifies you. Hold that assignment before the Lord now. Remember that every person God ever used felt unqualified at first. The difference between those who fulfilled their calling and those who didn’t wasn’t ability—it was acceptance. Will you accept what God assigns?

Thought for the day

There is a divine mystery in how God operates: He consistently calls us to tasks that exceed our natural capacity. This is not oversight on His part—it is intentional design. When we accept assignments that are beyond us, we create space for God to demonstrate His power through us.

Think of David facing Goliath with a sling and five smooth stones. Consider the disciples being told to feed five thousand with a boy’s lunch. Remember Peter stepping out of the boat onto stormy waters. In each instance, the assignment was impossible by human standards. Yet impossibility is simply the canvas upon which God paints His miracles.

When you accept a divine assignment, you enter into partnership with the Almighty. Your inadequacy becomes the vessel for His adequacy. Your weakness showcases His strength. Your limitations highlight His limitlessness. Stop waiting until you feel ready. The provision comes after the obedience, not before. Step forward in faith, and watch as heaven supplies everything you need for everything God has called you to do.

Closing Blessing

May the Lord who knew you before you were formed grant you courage to accept His calling today. May His supernatural enablement flow through you as you step into divine assignments. Go forth knowing that the One who set you apart will never leave you ill-equipped. May your inadequacy become the platform for His glory, and may you walk confidently in the purpose He ordained before time began.

Amen.
