Good Morning!
Good morning and blessed Monday, May 18th! As we begin this new week, let us remember that our faith is not meant to end with us—it’s a sacred torch meant to be passed from one generation to the next. Today, we focus on the beautiful calling to invest in young lives, equipping them with the truth and love of Christ. Young hands need equipped hearts, and God has positioned you to make an eternal difference in someone’s life.

Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for the privilege of investing in the next generation. Give us eyes to see the young people around us who are hungry for guidance, wisdom, and love. Grant us patience, wisdom, and Your words as we mentor and disciple those You place in our path. May we faithfully commend Your works to them, telling of Your mighty acts so they too may become world-changers for Your Kingdom.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
Daily Inspiration
“One generation commends Your works to another; they tell of Your mighty acts.” — Psalm 145:4
This powerful verse reminds us that faith is generational. The Hebrew word for “commend” carries the meaning of praising, celebrating, and declaring. It’s an active, intentional passing of spiritual heritage from one generation to the next.
God’s design has always been for His people to transmit His truth through relationship. Moses instructed parents to teach God’s commands diligently to their children. Paul mentored Timothy, calling him his “true son in the faith.” This wasn’t casual influence—it was intentional investment.
When we share our testimonies, walk alongside younger believers, and equip them with biblical truth, we participate in God’s eternal plan. The young person you invest in today may reach thousands tomorrow. Your faithfulness in commissioning the next generation ripples through eternity in ways you cannot fully imagine.
Question of the Day
How can I effectively mentor someone younger in the faith when I still feel like I’m learning myself?
The beautiful truth is that effective mentoring doesn’t require perfection—it requires authenticity and availability. Paul told the Corinthians, “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). Notice he didn’t claim to have arrived; he simply invited others to journey with him as he pursued Jesus.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 shows us that spiritual teaching happens in everyday moments—“when you sit at home and when you walk along the road.” You don’t need a seminary degree to share how God has worked in your life. Your struggles, your questions, and your growing faith are exactly what younger believers need to see. They need to know that following Jesus is a lifelong journey, not an instant destination.

Moment of Reflection
Think back to someone who invested in your spiritual growth—a parent, pastor, Sunday school teacher, or mentor. Remember how their time, prayers, and wisdom shaped your faith journey. Now consider: who is that young person in your life right now who needs the same intentional investment? Perhaps it’s a child, a teenager at church, a college student, or a young professional. God may be calling you to step into their life this very week.

The AI notepad for back-to-back meetings
Most AI note-takers just record your call and send a summary after.
Granola is different. It’s an AI notepad. You jot down what matters during the meeting, and Granola transcribes everything in the background.
When the call ends, it combines your notes with the full transcript to create summaries, action items, and next steps, all from your point of view.
Then the powerful part: chat with your notes. Write follow-up emails, pull out decisions, or prep for your next call, in seconds.
Think of it as a super-smart notes app that actually understands your meetings.
Thought for the Day
Generations need commissioning. The word “commission” comes from the Latin meaning “to entrust” or “to send with authority.” When Jesus gave the Great Commission, He wasn’t merely suggesting—He was entrusting His followers with sacred responsibility and divine authority.
Every generation faces unique challenges, temptations, and opportunities. The young people in our churches and communities are navigating a world that often seems hostile to biblical truth. They need more than programs—they need people who will walk with them, answer their questions honestly, and demonstrate what it looks like to follow Jesus in real life.
Think of Timothy, who became a powerful church leader because Paul saw potential in him and invested deeply. Paul wrote letters, traveled with him, corrected him lovingly, and ultimately entrusted him with significant responsibility. That same opportunity stands before you today.
Equipping someone younger isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about being present, praying with them, sharing Scripture, and pointing them consistently toward Christ. When you invest in one young life, you’re not just changing that person—you’re potentially influencing everyone they will ever reach. That is the multiplication effect of the Kingdom.
Closing Blessing
May the Lord open your eyes to see the young lives He has placed within your reach. May He give you courage to step forward as a mentor, guide, and spiritual parent. And may your investment in the next generation bear fruit that lasts for eternity—generations upon generations praising His mighty works because you were faithful today. Go in peace and purpose, beloved of God.
