Your Daily Devotion for May 18th

Good Morning!

Good morning, beloved friends! Today is Sunday, May 18th—a new day filled with grace. Boldly approach the throne of grace with every need and desire. Remember, God’s arms are open wide, eager to embrace your prayer and petitions today!

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We lay our burdens before You, our cares and worries, believing You’re both willing and able to intervene. Help us overcome the hesitation that prevents us from trusting You fully, and strengthen our faith as we approach Your throne with boldness and hope.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

Daily Inspiration

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence…” (Hebrews 4:16, NIV)

God’s throne is not off-limits; it’s a place of welcome for His children. He invites us freely to this place of mercy, compassion, and divine intervention. Come, beloved—the throne is prepared for you!

Question of the day

What request have I hesitated to bring before God’s throne?

Each of us sometimes hesitates, feeling unsure about presenting certain requests before God. But Scripture assures us: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7, NIV). Remember, nothing is too big or small to bring before the throne of grace. Your Heavenly Father longs for your trust; confidently share even your deepest dreams and struggles, knowing He listens carefully and compassionately.

Moment of Reflection

Recall how His gracious response once exceeded your timid expectations. Reflect for a few moments: When has God answered your prayer above and beyond your hopes? Allow His past faithfulness to rekindle your courage and trust today.

Thought for the day

We often approach God cautiously, carrying with us a sense of uncertainty or feeling unworthy of His divine attention. Yet today’s Scripture (Hebrews 4:16) calls us unmistakably to confidence. Confidence—not based on our perfection or deserving nature—but firmly grounded in Christ’s righteousness. Through Christ, we gain unlimited access directly into the presence of our Heavenly Father. You don’t have to hold back, wondering if you’re qualified. Jesus has already qualified you through His death and resurrection. Today, shake off insecurity and timid hesitation, boldly pour your heart out, and expect to find mercy and help precisely in your moment of greatest need.

Closing Blessing

May the Lord’s steadfast love surround you, filling your heart with assurance and peace. May you approach His throne without hesitation today, receiving from His hand abundant mercy, grace, and overflowing joy. Walk boldly, trusting in His unfailing goodness.

Be blessed and encouraged today, and always.
