Good Morning!

Good morning, beloved! On this beautiful Sunday, March 22nd, we invite you to treasure God’s law with a renewed heart. As spring unfolds around us, may your soul blossom through the rich practice of meditating on Scripture. Today, we remember that true prosperity—the kind that satisfies the deepest longings of our hearts—comes not from worldly wealth but from delighting in the Word of the Lord. May this day bring you closer to His truth.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, make Your word our delight. Open our hearts to receive Your truth with joy and anticipation. Grant us the discipline to meditate on Your law day and night, allowing it to transform our minds and renew our spirits. Remove the distractions that pull us away from Your presence, and help us find in Scripture the guidance, comfort, and wisdom we desperately need. May Your word dwell richly within us today and always.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

Orphans in Distress

In parts of Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Middle East, the orphan crisis is growing, and food is running out.

In some places — like Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo — violence and unrest are only making food scarcer. Children’s homes are struggling to survive in these fragile communities.

Serving Orphans Worldwide is combating the crisis, and you can help. 100% of your gift will provide hungry children and babies with nutritious meals, emergency groceries, life-saving formula, and long-term food security.

Join Serving Orphans Worldwide in feeding as many hungry orphans as possible. Donate today — just $12 feeds a child for a whole month and teaches children the gospel.

Daily Inspiration

“But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on His law day and night.” — Psalm 1:2

This verse paints a picture of the blessed life—one rooted not in fleeting pleasures but in the eternal truths of God’s Word. The psalmist uses the word “delight,” suggesting that engaging with Scripture should not feel like a burdensome duty but rather a joyful privilege.

Meditation in the biblical sense is not passive; it is an active, intentional dwelling upon God’s truth. Like a tree planted by streams of water, the one who meditates on God’s law draws nourishment continuously. This practice unlocks meaning that surface-level reading simply cannot provide. When we linger over Scripture, turning phrases over in our minds, asking the Holy Spirit for illumination, we discover treasures hidden in plain sight. Meditation transforms information into revelation.

Question of the day

How can I find direction for important life decisions through Scripture?

Many believers struggle with discerning God’s will for specific choices—career changes, relationships, or major moves. The Bible offers us both principles and a process. Psalm 119:105 declares, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Notice it says “feet” and “path”—Scripture often illuminates the next step rather than the entire journey.

Prolonged meditation on God’s Word attunes our hearts to His voice. As we immerse ourselves in Scripture, we begin to recognize His character, His values, and His ways. James 1:5 encourages us: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault.” Combine prayerful meditation with wise counsel from mature believers, and direction often becomes clearer than we expected.

Moment of Reflection

What scripture needs deeper meditation in your life right now? Perhaps there is a verse you have read many times but never truly absorbed. Today, choose one passage—even a single verse—and carry it with you. Return to it throughout your day. Speak it aloud. Write it down. Ask God to reveal its depths. Recall a time when prolonged meditation brought you unexpected direction or peace. That same God is speaking still.

Thought for the day

Meditation unlocks meaning. In our fast-paced world of constant information, we often read Scripture the way we scroll through social media—quickly, superficially, moving on to the next thing. But God’s Word was never meant to be consumed this way. It is meant to be savored, pondered, and internalized.

The Hebrew word for “meditate” in Psalm 1 is hagah, which can also mean to murmur or speak quietly to oneself. Ancient readers would repeat passages aloud, allowing the words to sink deep into their consciousness. This repetition created grooves in their minds, pathways through which God’s truth could flow into every decision and circumstance.

When we rush past Scripture, we miss its riches. But when we slow down—when we ask questions, make connections, and invite the Holy Spirit to teach us—we discover that a single verse can sustain us for a lifetime. The prosperity promised to the one who meditates is not merely material; it is the flourishing of a soul deeply rooted in eternal truth.

Closing Blessing

May the Lord grant you a heart that delights in His Word. May you find in Scripture the guidance, strength, and peace your soul craves. As you meditate on His law this week, may His truth take root within you and bear fruit that blesses all those around you. Go in peace, beloved, and may God’s Word be your treasure today and always. Amen.
