Your Daily Devotion for March 18th

Good Morning!
Good morning! Today is Tuesday, March 18, and it’s another beautiful opportunity to embrace God’s amazing strength. As you journey through today, find fresh courage and strength in Christ, knowing He walks beside you always.
Today’s devotion is brought to you by The Voice of the Martyrs ― Serving persecuted Christians since 1967
You can partner with the global body of Christ in prayer through VOM’s free 2025 Global Prayer Guide. This tool was designed to help you pray knowledgeably and specifically for our brothers and sisters in Christ who face rejection, imprisonment, violent attacks and even death as they worship God and faithfully witness for Christ.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father,
As we begin this new day, fortify our minds with Your Word. Make us instruments of Your grace in all we say and do. Protect us from depending solely on our own understanding and empower us instead with Your endless strength. Help us surrender control to You, allowing Your mighty power to flow through every aspect of our lives.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
Daily Inspiration
Ephesians 6:10: “Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.”
Paul’s encouragement reminds us that true strength is not found in our human efforts, but in our dependency upon God. God’s strength never tires, never fails, and is abundantly available to those who seek Him. When you struggle, let this verse remind you to shift your reliance from limited human strength to the limitless strength found only in Him.
Question of the day
What area of my life should I surrender more fully to God’s strength rather than my own efforts?
We often face our greatest uncertainties when we rely solely on ourselves. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us clearly: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Evaluate where you feel weakest or most frustrated; these can be specific areas in your work, relationships, finances, or emotional well-being. Ask God to take control of that area, trusting His promise to strengthen, guide, and sustain you.

Moment of Reflection
Reflect on a moment in your life when relying on God’s might instead of depending solely on your own capabilities carried you successfully through a challenge. How did your faith deepen in the process? Remembering God’s faithfulness in past struggles can strengthen your trust for the challenges of today.
Thought for the day
True strength emerges not when we strive harder but when we acknowledge our own limitations and embrace God’s abundant provision. Our culture often glorifies self-sufficiency, but the believer’s true strength lies in humble dependence upon Christ. This is beautifully paradoxical: our weakness becomes a canvas for His mighty power. Admit your limitations today and invite the limitless God to carry the burdens that weigh upon your heart. Watch how walking hand-in-hand with the Almighty empowers you precisely where human strength fails.
Closing Blessing
May you walk today in divine strength, empowered, fearless, and unwavering in your God-given calling. May each challenge become an opportunity to witness God’s amazing power actively working within and through you. Go forward with confidence, knowing you’re not alone, for God Himself goes before you and never leaves your side.
