Good Morning!

Welcome to this beautiful Sunday morning, March 15th! As we gather in worship today, let’s embrace the gift of humble learning. Just as spring brings new growth, God invites us to grow through teachability. When we approach life as willing students, every moment becomes an opportunity for divine instruction.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come before You with open hearts and minds. Lord, keep us learning always. Grant us the humility to receive Your wisdom and the courage to admit when we need guidance. Help us embrace correction with grace and seek understanding with genuine curiosity. May we never become too proud to learn from others or too stubborn to change.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

Daily Inspiration

Proverbs 9:9 reminds us: “Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.” This powerful verse reveals a profound truth—wisdom isn’t a destination but a journey of continuous growth. The truly wise never stop learning because they understand that teachability is the hallmark of genuine wisdom.

Consider how Jesus’ disciples, despite walking with the Master Teacher, remained students throughout their journey. They asked questions, made mistakes, and allowed themselves to be corrected. Their humility to learn transformed them from ordinary fishermen into world-changers. When we maintain a teachable spirit, we position ourselves for breakthrough through willing instruction. Our trajectory in life is directly connected to our willingness to remain students of God’s truth.

Question of the day

How can I cultivate humility when receiving correction from others, especially when it feels uncomfortable or challenges my pride?

Scripture teaches us in Proverbs 12:1 that “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.” The Bible doesn’t mince words here! James 1:19 provides practical guidance: “Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” When receiving correction, pause before responding, consider the truth in what’s being shared, and remember that iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). God often uses others to refine us, and viewing correction as a gift rather than an attack transforms our growth potential.

Moment of Reflection

What needs learning with fresh humility in your life today? Perhaps it’s a relationship that needs new understanding, a skill that requires development, or a spiritual discipline awaiting deeper exploration. Take a moment to identify one area where pride might be blocking your growth. Remember, the moment we think we know it all is the moment we stop growing. God has so much more to teach us—are we willing students?

Thought for the day

Teachability determines trajectory—this truth echoes throughout Scripture and human experience. Think about the contrast between King Saul and King David. Saul’s pride made him unteachable, leading to his downfall. David, despite his failures, remained teachable, accepting Nathan’s rebuke and returning to God with a contrite heart. This teachability kept David in God’s favor and established his lineage forever.

In our modern world, we’re often pressured to project confidence and competence at all times. Yet, the Kingdom of God operates differently. Here, admitting we don’t have all the answers opens doors to divine wisdom. Every expert was once a beginner. Every teacher was first a student. When we stay humble enough to learn, we remain flexible enough for God to shape us into vessels of honor.

Closing Blessing

May the Lord bless you with a teachable heart that remains soft to His instruction. May He grant you the wisdom to recognize learning opportunities in every circumstance and the humility to embrace them. As you go forth this week, may you grow wiser still, adding to your learning with joy and gratitude.
