Your Daily Devotion for June 28th

Good Morning!
Good morning! It’s Saturday, June 28—a beautiful day to let grace guide all your words, bringing warmth and hope to those around you.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Guide our conversations today, making our words a blessing and not a burden. Filter our speech through Your unwavering love and eternal truth, that every interaction might be a testimony of Your grace.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
A Mother Reads Her Bible in Afghanistan's Shadows. Her Children Sleep in the Next Room. The Taliban Are at Her Door. Our Field Ministers Race Through the Night to Reach Her in Time.
In dark cells, believers whisper prayers. In secret churches, the faithful worship knowing each hymn could be their last. Our Field Ministers are there, right now, moving through shadows to rescue them…and ultimately restore and rebuild their lives through the power of God. Will you join us?
Daily Inspiration
“Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt.” - Colossians 4:6
Words can speak life, offering encouragement, compassion, and healing. The Apostle Paul reminds us of the importance of communicating with grace—our speech guided by gentleness, respect, and love. Such gracious words have the power to heal wounds, restore broken relationships, revive weary hearts, and reflect the character of Christ in our daily interactions.
Question of the day
In what practical ways can I practice grace-filled communication in challenging relationships?
The Bible tells us clearly in Proverbs 15:1, “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” When faced with difficult conversations, we can practice intentional listening without interrupting, pausing to pray silently for wisdom during tense moments, and responding patiently and humbly—even if provoked. Our goal should always be reconciliation and peace, as reflected in Romans 12:18, “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

Moment of Reflection
Reflect upon your relationships today—be it family, friends, colleagues, or even strangers. Is there a specific person or relationship where your speech could be more gentle and graceful? Ask the Lord sincerely how you might mend or improve a relationship through loving, thoughtful words.
Thought for the day
Our words carry immense power—they can uplift spirits or crush hearts, bring peace or ignite conflict. Cultivating graceful speech starts from the heart and requires intentional effort, reflecting Christ’s nature within us. Just as salt preserves and enhances flavor, our words seasoned with grace preserve relationships, enhance understanding, and reflect God’s love. Speak intentionally today, remembering that gracious communication brings healing, reconciliation, and ultimately points others closer to Christ.
Closing Blessing
May the Lord bless your speech today with grace and wisdom. May your gentle words build meaningful connections, foster deeper understanding, and illuminate His great love through every conversation. Walk forward in peace and kindness. Amen!
