Your Daily Devotion for June 17th

Good Morning!

Good morning! Today, Tuesday, June 17th, we have a blessed opportunity to invite God’s strength to underpin our weaknesses. Step into this day assured that where you feel weakest, God’s strength is already present and ready to empower you.

Today’s devotion is brought to you by The Voice of the Martyrs ― Serving persecuted Christians since 1967

Equip Yourself with Tools to Pray

You can partner with the global body of Christ in prayer through VOM’s free 2025 Global Prayer Guide. This tool was designed to help you pray knowledgeably and specifically for our brothers and sisters in Christ who face rejection, imprisonment, violent attacks and even death as they worship God and faithfully witness for Christ.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Exchange our frailty for Your empowering grace in each task and responsibility we face today. Where we feel inadequate, grant us divine enablement to carry through. Help us realize that our insufficiencies are opportunities for Your mighty power to shine forth in glory.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

Daily Inspiration

“My power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

God does not despise our weakness but instead uses it as a sacred place to demonstrate His divine strength. Our human limitations are not obstacles but opportunities, a canvas upon which God paints His greatest masterpieces of grace and power.

Question of the day

How can I recognize the moments when I need divine strength instead of relying on myself?

In moments when you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or deeply inadequate, instead of relying solely on your own strength, immediately turn your heart toward God. Scripture reminds us clearly: “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” (Psalm 73:26). Acknowledge weakness openly before God, seeking strength, guidance, and enablement through prayer and the word.

Moment of Reflection

Thought for the day

Your weaknesses and inadequacies are not signals of failure or sources of shame; they’re precise points where God longs to pour out His grace. Today, rather than hiding these vulnerabilities or relying on your limited resources, courageously admit your need. Allow the seemingly impossible tasks ahead to turn your attention heavenward, letting God’s unlimited power supplement your own limited resources. Embrace the freedom found when we surrender ourselves fully into God’s capable, sustaining hands, knowing He is faithful and will carry us through.

Closing Blessing

May God’s empowering grace uphold you today. Walk confidently, leaning on His perfect strength, experiencing afresh His mighty hand lifting, enabling, and guiding you at every moment. Blessings be yours in abundance!
