Your Daily Devotion for June 15th

Today’s devotion is brought to you by Anchor of Hope Evangelistic Ministries — sharing Christ’s love with orphaned children in India through compassionate care and education.

Good Morning!

Good morning, beloved friends! Today, Sunday, June 15th, is a fresh opportunity to carry God’s grace with the words we speak. Let your words express His compassion and kindness, blessing others as you have been blessed.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Grant us today the wisdom and gentleness to speak words that reflect your compassionate heart. Guide our tongues, that our speech may be a healing balm, comforting hearts and uplifting spirits. Help us refrain from harshness and instead become ambassadors of your mercy, kindness, and peace.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

Help a child thrive: Send them to school for just $270

This back-to-school season, you can change a child’s future. Just $270 provides everything an orphaned child in India needs for an entire year of English-medium education—school fees, books, uniforms, shoes, and supplies.

These 14 children have already experienced tremendous loss. But now, through the care of local Christian widows, they’ve found safety and love. What they need next is an education that can help lift them out of poverty and give them real hope for tomorrow.

You can be the one who helps them take that first step.

Daily Inspiration

“Kind words have the power to restore hope and spark positivity.”

Our Heavenly Father calls us to be reflections of His love, grace, and compassion in all we do. And the power of our speech—the words we choose—can either build up or tear down. Proverbs 16:24 beautifully instructs us: “Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul…” May your thoughtful kindness today bring sweetness, encouragement, and hope to those you encounter.

Question of the day

How can my words better reflect Christ’s compassion in everyday conversations?

As followers of Christ, our communication matters deeply. Ephesians 4:29 encourages us: “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up…that it may give grace to those who hear.” Through prayerful awareness, patience, and sensitivity, cultivate habits of encouragement, tact, and uplifting speech, echoing Jesus’s own compassionate interactions.

Moment of Reflection

Reflect on a time when a simple, caring conversation lifted your spirits—someone who chose their words thoughtfully, compassionately, and warmly. Who in your own life needs this same kind of affirmation or understanding today? Allow yourself to become a vessel of encouragement, carefully choosing your words to strengthen and uplift others, just as you’ve experienced.

Thought for the day

The Bible compares gentle, gracious words to healing balm and sweet honey. They are not merely phrases but powerful vessels of God’s renewing grace. Each word of kindness you speak can spark a chain reaction of hope, joy, and reassurance, reminding others of their invaluable worth and beloved status in God’s eyes. Never underestimate the quiet power and enduring impact your speech may have when you intentionally reflect Christ’s tender care.

Closing Blessing

May the Lord guide your conversations today, filling your words with the soothing fragrance of His love. As you speak life into the lives of others, may you, in turn, experience the abundant warmth of His boundless mercy and kindness. Go forth in His grace and peace.
