Good Morning!

Good morning, beloved family in Christ! On this Monday, July 6th, we begin a fresh week with fresh purpose. Today, God invites us to step out of ambiguity and into clarity. When our vision remains foggy, our feet stay planted. But when we write it down—when we make it plain—suddenly, we can run with confidence toward the calling He has placed on our lives. Let’s seek that clarity together today.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come before You asking for wisdom and revelation. So often, our hearts sense Your calling, but our minds struggle to articulate it clearly. Remove the fog of uncertainty. Help us to write down the vision You have given us, making it plain so that we might pursue it with boldness and conviction. Guide our pens and our hearts as we commit Your purposes to paper.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

Daily Inspiration

“Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.” — Habakkuk 2:2

The prophet Habakkuk stood at a crossroads, crying out to God for answers. When the Lord responded, He didn’t whisper vague notions—He commanded clarity. “Write it down. Make it plain.” Why? So that anyone who reads it can run with it, not stumble over it.

There is divine power in written clarity. When a vision lives only in your mind, it remains vulnerable to doubt, distraction, and forgetfulness. But when you commit it to writing, you give it substance. You create a reference point for decision-making. You establish a standard against which to measure your progress. God knew that His people needed more than inspiration—they needed instruction they could carry with them and act upon decisively.

Question of the Day

Why does writing down our goals and callings seem to make them more achievable?

Scripture reveals a profound truth about the connection between written words and fulfilled purposes. In Habakkuk 2:2, God specifically instructs that the vision be written so that those who read it may “run with it.” Writing creates accountability—both to ourselves and to God. It transforms abstract hopes into concrete commitments.

Throughout the Bible, we see God commanding that His words be written down: the commandments on tablets, the law in scrolls, the prophecies preserved for generations. Deuteronomy 17:18 even required kings to write their own copy of the law. Writing engages our minds differently than mere thinking. It forces us to organize scattered thoughts into coherent statements. When we see our calling in black and white, we can no longer hide from it or pretend we don’t know what God is asking.

Moment of Reflection

Consider the dreams and callings that have been stirring in your heart. Perhaps God has been speaking to you about a ministry, a relationship, a career change, or a step of faith. Has that vision remained in the realm of ideas, or have you given it the weight of written words? Today, take five minutes and write down what you believe God is calling you toward. Don’t worry about eloquence—just make it plain.

Thought for the Day

Ambiguity is the enemy of progress. When we aren’t clear about where we’re going, every path looks equally valid—or equally pointless. We wander, we second-guess, we wait for perfect conditions that never arrive. But clarity cuts through the paralysis. It gives us permission to move.

Think about moments in your life when everything changed because you finally got clear. Perhaps it was writing out your commitment to follow Christ. Perhaps it was defining what kind of spouse or parent you wanted to be. Perhaps it was articulating a business idea or a ministry calling. Remember how momentum surged once the vision became concrete?

God is a God of clarity. He spoke the world into existence with specific, creative words. He gave Moses detailed instructions. He sent prophets with precise messages. And He invites us into that same clarity today. When you write your vision down, you partner with God’s orderly nature. You create a covenant document between your present self and your future obedience. You declare to heaven and earth: “This is where I’m headed.” And suddenly, you can run.

Closing Blessing

May the Lord grant you clarity of vision and courage of conviction this week. May He guide your hand as you write down His calling for your life, and may He strengthen your feet to run the race He has set before you. Go forth in confidence, beloved—your path is being made plain.

Amen.
