Your Daily Devotion for July 5th

Good Morning!
Good Morning! Today is Saturday, July 5th — another precious opportunity granted by God to invest our time wisely. Let’s steward each moment intentionally, knowing that time is a gift we can never reclaim.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Grant us discernment and wisdom today. Teach us to value our days, understanding the precious gift of time You have given us. Help us trim away the unnecessary things in our schedules, creating room for eternal investments. Strengthen us to align our tasks with Your divine purposes.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
A Mother Reads Her Bible in Afghanistan's Shadows. Her Children Sleep in the Next Room. The Taliban Are at Her Door. Our Field Ministers Race Through the Night to Reach Her in Time.
In dark cells, believers whisper prayers. In secret churches, the faithful worship knowing each hymn could be their last. Our Field Ministers are there, right now, moving through shadows to rescue them…and ultimately restore and rebuild their lives through the power of God. Will you join us?
Daily Inspiration
“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
— Psalm 90:12
Every moment is a priceless opportunity from God. Psalm 90:12 reminds us of the importance of examining how we manage our time. When we seek God’s insight, we begin to cherish and spend our days intentionally, prioritizing things of lasting value. Wisdom comes from seeing through God’s perspective, understanding our brief time on earth in the light of eternity.
Question of the day
How can I know which activities should be trimmed from my schedule to make room for what truly matters?
In determining priorities, Hebrews 12:1 advises us, “let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.” Ask yourself which activities distract you from deepening your relationship with God, loving your family, and serving others faithfully. Activities that merely waste time, drain your energy, and yield no eternal fruit should be prayerfully considered for trimming.

Think back to a time when your schedule fully aligned with your spiritual and life priorities. Do you remember how purposeful and peaceful your soul felt? Commit today to realigning your activities with the eternal, purposeful priorities God has placed upon your heart. Remind yourself regularly that the time invested in eternal things bears everlasting fruit.
Thought for the day
Time is one of the most precious resources God has entrusted to us, yet it’s often the most misused. Every second that passes is gone forever, never to be reclaimed. We must steward our minutes, hours, and days carefully by reflecting often on where we spend this valuable resource. The activities to which we commit our moments and energies should hold eternal significance. Let’s audit our schedules today and intentionally invest in what truly matters—our relationship with God, loving others, spreading the Gospel, serving selflessly, and cultivating spiritual growth. Eternity will honor every minute spent investing in things beyond this temporal world.
Closing Blessing
May God’s wisdom guide you today as you steward your time wisely and purposefully. May your efforts bear eternal fruit, your heart filled with heavenly perspective and joy. Walk confidently today, knowing your path is guided and illuminated by a timeless, faithful Savior.
God bless you richly!
