Your Daily Devotion for July 3rd

Good Morning!

Good morning! Today is Thursday, July 03, and it’s a beautiful day to let forgiveness unlock the clogged channels of joy in our hearts.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Merciful God, empower us today to release offenses quickly so that bitterness cannot stall our peace. Lead our hearts to forgive genuinely as You have graciously forgiven us.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

Daily Inspiration

“Get rid of all bitterness…forgiving each other.” (Ephesians 4:31-32)

True joy and spiritual freedom become ours when we willingly choose to forgive. Bitterness traps our heart in chains of resentment, blocking the flow of joy God desires for us. Choosing to forgive sets us free, healing us and allowing our hearts to beat again with a renewed, Christ-like love.

In Proverbs 12:17, it says, "An honest witness tells the truth, but a false witness tells lies." In today’s world, finding honest, fact-based news can be a challenge. That’s why 1440 delivers daily news that’s free from opinions and bias—just the facts, helping you stay informed with truth.

Fact-based news without bias awaits. Make 1440 your choice today.

Overwhelmed by biased news? Cut through the clutter and get straight facts with your daily 1440 digest. From politics to sports, join millions who start their day informed.

Question of the day

Whom do I need to forgive to regain my peace?

Reflect deeply today on any person you hold something against. Scripture instructs us clearly in Colossians 3:13, “Bear with each other and forgive one another… Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” When you choose to forgive, as our Father forgives, peace comes flooding in, freeing you from the chains of bitterness.

Moment of Reflection

Pause right now and remember a time when you chose forgiveness over bitterness. Do you recall the immense relief and joy that flooded your heart afterward? Allow that memory to inspire new forgiveness today.

Thought for the day

Holding on to bitterness chains the holder far more than it impacts the offender. In essence, refusing to forgive is choosing to carry a heavy burden continuously, weighing down spiritual growth and joy. True forgiveness is not excusing or minimizing the pain caused, but rather a deliberate decision to release the power of the hurt, trusting in God’s perfect justice and enabling healing. Choose freedom and walk in lightness; set yourself free today through genuine forgiveness.

Closing Blessing

May the gracious love and mercy of the Lord fill your heart, empowering you to forgive willingly. May your life overflow with joy and peace, as you walk lightly and freely in Christ’s abundant grace today and always.
