Daily Inspiration

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.” - Psalm 56:3 (NIV)

In our constantly shifting emotions, God is the steady anchor that never changes. We have all faced days where fear, doubt, or sadness can overwhelm us; yet the act of purposely placing our trust in God brings lasting peace and reassurance. Faith isn’t driven by feelings—it’s a deliberate choice to trust God’s truth and promises even when our mood may say otherwise.

Question of the day

What should I do when my feelings contradict my faith?

Our feelings can often be deceptive, changing according to circumstances or external influences. The Bible reminds us clearly that our faith is established through trusting God’s truth, not by how we feel. Proverbs 3:5 states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Therefore, whenever emotions conflict with faith, the best response is to obediently act upon God’s Word rather than our feelings. By committing ourselves to truth, we consistently experience the stability God promises.

Moment of Reflection

Consider a time recently when you chose faith over feelings. How did trusting God, despite your emotions, bring deeper peace into your circumstances?

Thought for the day

Our faith was never designed to rise and fall with our fleeting emotions. Rather, true faith is a determined resolve to trust in God’s unwavering promise even when life’s circumstances shake and challenge us. Isa. 26:3 tells us, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” God encourages us to intentionally fix our minds on Him, anchoring our hearts to His Word. Choosing to trust God’s truth over what we presently feel provides the kind of stability that emotional ups and downs simply cannot defeat.

Closing Blessing

May you walk this day strengthened by truth rather than led by changing feelings. May you find divine peace as you intentionally choose faith over momentary emotions. Be blessed and steadfast in the unshakable presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
