When God disciplines us, He is not acting out of anger or rejection—He is acting as a loving Father who refuses to let His children remain in spiritual immaturity or harmful patterns. Just as a caring parent corrects a child wandering toward danger, our Heavenly Father redirects us toward life and blessing. The absence of discipline would actually indicate abandonment, not love. So when you feel the sting of conviction or walk through seasons of correction, take heart: you are not forgotten. You are claimed. You are loved. You are His child.

Why does God allow painful seasons in the lives of believers if He truly loves them?

Think about the alternative: a God who never corrected you, who allowed you to drift endlessly into destruction without intervention. That would not be love—that would be indifference.
