Good Morning!
Good morning and blessed Friday, August 21st! As we close out another week, let us pause to consider the platforms and influence God has entrusted to us. Whether you lead a family, manage a team, or simply have a voice in your community, remember that every ounce of influence is borrowed from the Lord—never truly our own. Today, may we steward what we’ve been given with humility and grace.

Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for every opportunity You’ve placed in our hands. Keep us humble with the influence You’ve given. Guard us from pride and self-promotion, and help us remember that our platforms exist to serve others and glorify Your name. Teach us to hold loosely what is Yours and to multiply its impact for Your Kingdom purposes.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
Daily Inspiration
“From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” — Luke 12:48
This verse reminds us that influence is never a personal possession—it’s a sacred trust. Jesus spoke these words to illustrate that privilege comes with profound responsibility. Whether God has given you a large social media following, a position of leadership at work, or simply the ear of a friend who needs guidance, you have been entrusted with something precious.
The world teaches us to leverage influence for personal gain, recognition, and advancement. But the Kingdom operates differently. Every platform we steward is borrowed from the Lord, and He watches carefully how we use it. When we choose humility over self-promotion and service over status, our influence multiplies in ways that honor God and genuinely transform lives.
Question of the Day
How can I know if I’m using my gifts and influence for God’s glory rather than my own?
Scripture offers us a helpful lens for self-examination. In 1 Corinthians 10:31, Paul writes, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” The test isn’t whether we receive recognition, but whether our motivation centers on serving God and others.
Ask yourself: Does my influence draw attention to Christ or to myself? Am I willing to serve when no one is watching? Do I celebrate when others succeed through my help? Jesus modeled servant leadership by washing His disciples’ feet (John 13:14-15). True Kingdom influence lifts others up and points them toward the Father.

Moment of Reflection
Take a moment to honestly assess: What influence am I using for self rather than service? Perhaps there’s a relationship, role, or platform where you’ve subtly shifted from stewardship to ownership. Recall a time when impact multiplied because you stewarded a platform with humility. Let that memory inspire you to release control and trust God with the results.
Thought for the Day
Influence is a sacred trust. These words should reshape how we view every opportunity God places before us. We live in a culture obsessed with building personal brands, growing followers, and accumulating influence as if it were currency. But the Christian understands something countercultural: platforms are borrowed, not owned.
Consider the apostle Paul, who had every reason to boast. He was highly educated, deeply gifted, and instrumental in spreading the Gospel across the Roman Empire. Yet he wrote, “But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ” (Philippians 3:7). Paul understood that his influence existed solely to serve the mission of Jesus.
When we use our platforms for others—to encourage, to teach, to lift up, to point toward Christ—we participate in something eternal. Our influence becomes a conduit for grace rather than a monument to ourselves. Today, make a conscious choice: use your platform for others, and watch how God multiplies what you freely give away.
Closing Blessing
May the Lord grant you wisdom to steward your influence with humility and grace. May He guard your heart from pride and fill you with a servant’s love. Go forth this weekend knowing that everything you have belongs to Him—and in His hands, your faithful stewardship will bear fruit that lasts for eternity.
Amen.
