Your Daily Devotion for August 15th

Good Morning!
Good morning! Today is Friday, August 15—what a perfect day to keep our hearts light. Remember, keep short accounts; repent quickly and forgive freely, not allowing hindrances to linger in our lives.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your grace that daily renews us. Please guard our hearts from lingering offenses. Help us to swiftly move toward forgiveness, and grant us humility to apologize quickly. Reconcile us with anyone we’ve hurt or anyone who’s hurt us, before this day ends.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

Question of the day
I’m struggling to forgive someone who hurt me deeply. How can I practically follow God’s command to forgive?
Forgiveness isn’t always easy—but God instructs us clearly to forgive as we’ve been forgiven (Colossians 3:13). Practically, forgiveness begins with acknowledging the offense, praying earnestly for the offender, and intentionally surrendering your pain to God. Ask your heavenly Father to help you let go of bitterness. He will empower and heal you, freeing your heart so you can forgive genuinely (Philippians 4:13).
